Holy shit, he's posting!!!

Kinda...forgot about LJ for the past while, hahaha. Go figure that one.

Don't have a whole lot to update about...we've got a house, a car for ashley, and a new computer for ashley. :P I don't spoil her at all! >_>

Work's going good, doing the whole manager-in-training thing for about another week or two and then I'll be an hourly manager. :)

I'm looking for more time to play Star Ocean: TLH but I can't find enough time in the day. :P

Mike and Bish's wedding was really cool, I definitely wasn't expecting to hear relm's theme and terra's theme as the processionals. :P

Got really REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEALLY drunk last night with my general manager and one of the guys that was briefly back in town and visiting before he goes off to the infantry. :P Even so, being that drunk was still funny. :P

Ariana's a little cutie-pie. And she's MY baby! :P Here's a little picture of her learning from daddy, for those of you that haven't seen it yet. :P

Hehehe.

11:52 am - Thing about Sarah Palin

Apparently, some Alaskan fisherman writing about Palin. )

In regards to this article:

It's useless, ill-directed information. Nothing about the issues up until the last few paragraphs and even that's vague, the article just mentions the problems the country has had, it doesn't really counter McCain's political issues, just makes an unreferenced claim that he changes his platform weekly.

I think the only reason I know where Sarah Palin's from is because so many people are harping on her for not being like a typical "Alaskan." The other candidates...no clue where any of them are from. I have no doubt all the candidates home towns/counties/states have been said on the news multiple times, but because it's in passing and not a "political" point, I didn't retain the information.

How does a typical North Carolinian act? I wonder...I also have a feeling there's quite a few people (even among the ones I know) that don't act like typical "North Carolinians." That doesn't, in my opinion, make them better/worse people from a political standpoint.

I'll be voting for Barack/Biden in November, but I'm voting for that ticket because I agree with most of their issues, not because they act like typical residents of whatever-the-hell state they're from.

04:34 am - YES!

A helicopter was flying around above Seattle when an electrical malfunction disabled all of the aircraft's electronic navigation and communications equipment.

Due to the clouds and haze, the pilot could not determine the helicopter's position. The pilot saw a tall building, flew toward it, circled, and held up a handwritten sign that said "WHERE AM I?" in large letters. People in the tall building quickly responded to the aircraft, drew a large sign, and held it in a building window. Their sign said "YOU ARE IN A HELICOPTER."

The pilot smiled, waved, looked at his map, determined the course to steer to SEATAC airport, and landed safely. After they were on the ground, the copilot asked the pilot how he had done it.

"I knew it had to be the Microsoft Building, because they gave me a technically correct but completely useless answer."

I fully approve this message. :P

So, RB/GH Sequel dilemma. I asked the retards at Gamestop if they knew whether the Rock Band 2 Drums would be compatible with the GH:WT drums. They gave me a very unsure answer, so I went and looked it up. Says that GH:WT will compress two tracks for the Rock Band drums, but no one, not even on the INTERNETS, had an answer for the what-if-there's-a-cymbal-attachment question. So, I did some research into the GH:WT drums, and it turns out the instrument designer/developer also put together the Drumscape drum set, so that pretty much made it an insta-win. So I think what I'm doing is shifting my pre-order to the rock band game only, then buying the GH:WT bundle when it comes out. Opinions?

So, there's some stober people playing Rock Band over here on Measyum. :P I didn't know such a difficulty existed. This needs to be added as full-playability in Rock Band 2/GH:WT. I demand it!

So "Still Alive" was the "song pack" out for today. Gotta say, that was the funniest piece of crap time-waster I've seen on Rock Band. Easy enough, but funny as all hell (regarding the lyrics). I don't know how the song fits into Portal, but I can only guess and laugh. :P

03:28 am - The index finger continues!

Playing through Gyakuten Saiban 4 since it came out like a week or two ago. :P America's name: APOLLO JUSTICE: ACE ATTORNEY, more logically known as: APOLLO JUSTICE: WE COULDN'T THINK OF ANOTHER CORNY COURT/LAW REFERENCE, SO WE'RE GOING BACK TO SQUARE ONE!

Title out of the way, the game is VERY interactive with all the crap you can do. Fingerprints (as they were introduced in the DS version of Phoenix Wright 1), footprint molds, and instead of the "Psyche-Locks," the main character has an ability that can only be described as poker-related that lets you see your witness's "tells" in their testimonies. You move your eye around the witness during certain parts of the testimony, (it breaks the message you're on into parts), and catch little motions like eye-shifting, throat-swallowing, etc. Pretty nifty.

I'm just starting case four, I don't know whether there are 4 or 5 cases on this game, I'm hoping for five, though. :)

Job training's going nice, and I finally have some insurance of my own! (I have Ashley covered under there too. :))

Aside from recent efforts to try and lose the gut I slowly put on working at a fast food place, nothing really interesting to say. :)

Glad I don't have to worry about flaky people.

12:15 pm - Holy Crap!

We're evolving and learning, and this site proves it:

Top 10 Scientific Breakthroughs of 2007

What caught my eyes most were #8, #4, and #1. For those of you that don't care to read the article:

#8 - "Planets found that could harbor life." They're supposedly 20 light years away, and one only takes 18 days to revolve around its sun (a red dwarf in the Gliese 581 system), but still, the prospect of another life-supporting planet (and relatively close too!) is amazing.

#4 - "Enzymes convert any blood type to O." These enzymes that were found can "shear off" the problem sugars of the A, B, and AB blood types, making all blood types technically "O."

#1 - "Researchers Turn Skin Cells to Stem Cells." This is the biggest breakthrough I think I've ever seen. By doing this, it means that they can fully research regenerative medicine without the whole ethics problem of using embryos and eggs to do it. This is an amazing discovery, and I was quite surprised to read it. If you haven't already seen the other 7 big finds, I'd say you should!

lol gunman hoax. I had a feeling it wasn't a true story told by the "victim." Why would an armed person flee an unarmed person before getting what they wanted? :P

Didn't catch the news in time to hear the victim's reason behind fabricating the whole gunman story, but I'm almost sure it was something to do with either bad blood between the "victim" and the guy they found matching the description or a practical joke. :P

(EDIT: Read the news online [silly me, forgot you can use the internet for productive things too!] and apparently the guy saw his door damaged and thought his management company would hold him responsible for the damage, so his story snowballed. That's almost a compelling reason to make up a robber. :P)

In other news, got 115 Achievement points by playing a 20-minute game of March Madness. I sure do love the lack of effort involved with that. :P

6 Gold Stars left on Guitar for Rock Band, 3 I'll never see. :P Starting to work on Vocal Gold Stars too.

Daniel was persuaded into buying Dynasty Warriors 6--I forgot how mindlessly entertaining those games are, very good for kick-back time.

Duke vs. UNC for the second time Saturday. I hope to God they can pull a second win out of their ass (that's the only place it'll be coming from, with the way they've been playing.)

Got a new job at HomEq (a mortgage loan place), $10.00/hr 40hrs/week, health benefits/insurance and 28 total paid leave days. Seems like a win, minus the fact that 99.99999% of my customers will be angry because they owe money. :P Hiring guy's name was John Magee (obviously Sean Magee's long-lost brother), and I almost cracked up during the interview once I learned that.

Other happy news, but I'm waiting on that for a short bit.

That's all I got!
